The short version

  • We use four first-party cookies: one to keep you signed in and three to remember your language, text size and contrast.
  • We also store two small flags in your browser so that the opening animation and the guided tour are not shown again.
  • We do not use analytics, advertising or social media cookies, and we do not let third parties track you on Solvex.

This summary is for convenience only. The full text below is what applies.

1What cookies are

A cookie is a small text file that a website stores in your browser. Browser storage (local storage and session storage) works in a similar way but is never sent to our servers. Both let a website remember something between pages or visits.

2What we use

  • SOLVEX_SESSION

    Purpose
Keeps you signed in. It holds a random token; we store only its hash.
    Type
    Strictly necessary cookie
    Duration
Until you sign out, or 12 hours
  • SOLVEX_LOCALE

    Purpose
Remembers whether you chose Arabic or English.
    Type
    Functional cookie
    Duration
    1 year
  • SOLVEX_TEXT

    Purpose
Remembers your text size (A-, A or A+).
    Type
    Functional cookie
    Duration
    1 year
  • SOLVEX_CONTRAST

    Purpose
Remembers whether high contrast is on.
    Type
    Functional cookie
    Duration
    1 year
  • solvex-splash-seen

    Purpose
Stops the opening animation from playing again in the same tab.
    Type
    Session storage
    Duration
    Until the tab is closed
  • solvex-tour…

    Purpose
Remembers that you finished or skipped the guided tour.
    Type
    Local storage
    Duration
    Until you clear it

All of these are set by Solvex itself. None of them is used to identify you across other websites.

3What we do not use

  • No analytics or audience measurement cookies.
  • No advertising or remarketing cookies.
  • No social media plug-ins or tracking pixels.

When the payment service goes live, the payment provider's secure checkout page may set its own cookies to process your payment and prevent fraud. Those cookies are governed by the provider's notice. [Payment provider cookies — to be confirmed]

4Managing cookies

Because we use only necessary and functional cookies, we do not show a consent banner. You can still block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block the session cookie you will not be able to sign in; if you block the functional cookies, Solvex will work but will not remember your choices. [Cookie consent approach — to be confirmed by counsel]

5Changes and contact

If we add a cookie, we will update this notice before it is used, and if it is not strictly necessary we will ask for your consent first. Questions can be sent to mvp@solvexdev.com.
